I am sorry for not posting the last few days. We have moved out of our appartment for renovation, and setting up the computer in the substitute office took more time than anticipated.
Today, however, I am back online to say "hello" before I retreat to a more comfortable seat and dig into chapter three of Widdowson's Aspects of Language Teaching, to get to know the "pragmatics of language teaching."
(Hopefully I will not need the computer much this week, as the only table I could squeeze in next to the cable outlet was Jennys kidsize, with a complimentary 13 inch high stool.

This blog is all about me thinking out loud while working on my master's thesis. But you are all very welcome to read and comment - in English or Norwegian.
My thesis subject is language training as a practical experience, with focus on English as a second language for Norwegian children.
I came to know the English language through a theoretical perspective, through
the rules of grammar and the examples of the textbook. But learning language through use and exploration is closer to my heart,and in my thesis I want to explore the practical strategies available for language learning.
