Somethimes, writing is all about getting started. And today, I post mainly to be able to say to myself:
Yes, I have started the blog.
And tomorrow morning, I will jump right into my new office routine
- check mail
- blog about yesterdays progress
- work on thesis
That last one's still a big, hairy monster. Hopefully it will get less scary as I get to know it.

This blog is all about me thinking out loud while working on my master's thesis. But you are all very welcome to read and comment - in English or Norwegian.
My thesis subject is language training as a practical experience, with focus on English as a second language for Norwegian children.
I came to know the English language through a theoretical perspective, through
the rules of grammar and the examples of the textbook. But learning language through use and exploration is closer to my heart,and in my thesis I want to explore the practical strategies available for language learning.
